Some Photos from the CSA Farm

welcome to the farm

welcome to the farm

We made friends with two wonderful farmers at the local farmer’s market last year, a mother and daughter team.  This year we joined their CSA.  Community Supported Agriculture is where you buy into a farm before the season starts, usually a full or half share.  Then every week during the season you get a box of delicious, fresh, and (on our farm) basically organically grown produce.  It’s fun to pay more attention to what’s in season and all the greens we’ve been getting have really helped with my new green smoothie kick. I wanted to share some photos from last years trip to the farm.  We brought our former foster children and the interaction between the children and the animals was so adorable and memorable.  (not legally allowed to post the children’s photos though).  That’s the cool thing about buying from a local farm- not only are you supporting local healthy food, it’s a great experience for your family, too.  If you are in the Delaware, Southwestern PA, or Maryland area and would like to join a CSA check them out!
